Has success on the wild web eluded you so far? You are not alone, but you can learn how to fix that situation if you are willing to do what is necessary. What we will be covering today is how to get closer to your business goals by working on the trust factor that is so critically important to both you and your audience.

There are fewer totally clueless and trusting people on the net at this point, and for most anything that looks remotely out of place usually gets condemned pretty fast. If you ever use testimonials that are not totally real, then you really should re-think that approach for a lot of reasons. People who read testimonials will be suspicious to begin with, and that is why you need to put as much about the person who supplied the testimonial as you can. Always, and always ask for a good shoulder and above picture of the person, too. Just about all people will not be so eager to give you a testimonial in video format, but we suppose it would not hurt to ask.

We do not like talking about this next one, but content mistakes such as grammar and spelling can cause real problems if there are too many. You know very well that MS Office Word and Open Office processors can take care of this stuff in just a minute or two. Yes, before somebody leaves your site for the last time, they just may send you a Snagit capture of a page from your site of the offending mistakes. Not everybody feels like that, but enough people seem to take quite an exception to it. Ask yourself, would you trust a website and buy something from it if you found out that it is careless to not even take of care of such small errors? Enough said about this, just do the simple checks before publishing your content.

If you're focused on getting quick sales, you'll always find that your long term reputation suffers. Do not deviate from your marketing and business plan that is designed for the longer term. Build on your online business reputation because that is where trust and so much more will come from. The only thing any business has on the net is their reputation, and sullying it for fast profits is never worth it in our minds.

There are many factors involved with creating and establishing trust with your market, and you need to be aware of them as much as possible. Have long term goals, and focus on building a strong reputation with your site - even if it takes time.
