Many people post signs around where they are growing grass in an effort to keep the new grass seed from being stepped on by careless people and pets.

Cut Your Lawn High: Grass needs a chance to grow tall and healthy before you mow it down. While mowing your grass does make it look neater, it's important to remember that you need to let your grass become mature before you mow it for the first time. Many people know that when you do cut your grass you should use a higher setting on your lawn mower so that your grass can grow thick and green. Sometimes grass grow too fast and in those situations you should learn how to cut high grass.
