Most people don't ever think about it, but carpets should probably be replaced every few decades or so, as I found when the time came to hunt for some NJ carpeting. When we bought the house, it was only four years old and we figured that we didn't need to buy any new stuff. At the time, we were in a difficult place financially, so it wouldn't have made sense for us to buy new things for the house anyway. Well, like I said, a few decades went by and life got in the way, preventing us from doing anything about it.
The lifespan of our carpet as all things must, came to an end when my four year old grandkid knocked over a full glass of grape juice, which was quickly absorbed by the carpet. My wife endured many hours scrubbing that floor to get it looking clean, but there was just too much purple. We had a discussion and came to the decision that we should just replace it. My wife had the time of her life reading every book of carpet samples that she could lay her hands on and spent many joyful hours deciding which would best fit our house.
The anticipation was palpable in our family as we eagerly awaited the final decision from my wife. It looked like a good choice and I agreed that we should go ahead and make a trip to the flooring store. Well, we got down there and started to look around, figuring that someone would come by to help us. We must have walked through the entire place three or four times and still we didn't get anyone there to help us. I started to imagine that a moderately organized group of carpet thieves could make themselves wealthy with such available things for the taking.
After what seemed like forever, some surly teenage worker wandered out from the back room and asked what we desired. This person tried to help us find the carpet we wanted, but that took quite a while, and when it was found, it turned out that they did not have enough of it in stock and that it would take perhaps two months to come in.
This was deeply troubling to us, so we left the store and mare our way home, where we started looking for NJ carpets on the internet. In a shorter time than I would have imagined, I was looking at some NJ carpeting that was the very carpeting we were looking for. We ordered what we required through their website and were overjoyed a few days later when it was installed in our home. Of course, after all of my wife's hard work, it was a lovely sight and we figure that it will last us quite a while if we keep grape juice out of the house.
